Nuuna cover from Karen at LunaBlueBags on Etsy

I have written previously about Nuuna notebooks and Nuuna covers by LunaBlueBags. I love Nuuna notebooks because of their size (not too big, not too small, not too narrow) and their paper (Swedish)  and the fact that they have smaller dot grid (4mm) than the 5mm in Rhodia and Leuchtturm dot grid paper. One thing that I do not like about them is that the covers are so thin and flexible, and that they do not have a closure. The odd size means that TN covers and off the shelf leather covers for Nuuna notebooks are just not out there, and putting one in a bag or carrying it around means the corners bend and buckle very quickly. I know the artwork is very pretty and the cover material is hardy, it still bends and folds back on itself. The lack of closure also means that the book opens, the spine bends and the pages get twisted in my bag.

I found LunaBlueBags on Etsy and had a wonderful conversation with Karen about a custom cover in the fabric of my choice for cover and lining, and pockets and clasp just the way I wanted. Plus bookmarks and a pen loop.

Two days after our chat, the cover was posted, and it arrived just three days later. I love it to bits.

It was beautifully packaged in light blue tissue paper with a ribbon bow and a card. The cover is just too perfect for words. The colours are gorgeous, the workmanship is outstanding and I am so happy with the clasp. It fits my Nuuna notebook perfectly (most makers do not have a Nuuna to use as a model but Karen does so her covers are spot on).

This shows how my cover looks on my Nuuna Pixel cover (which glows in the dark like you would not believe). Some of the photos show my cats wombling around but I got tired of shooing them out of the way. They sure like the cat cover!

I am so thrilled with the choice I made of fabric and colours. There were so many to choose from but this was the right one. Karen is lovely to deal with, very quick, and her work is top notch. She also does Hobonichi covers and covers for other notebooks.

As always, I am not affiliated with this shop and I bought and paid just like a regular customer. I just believe in promoting good sellers and great products.
