I agree!

Nothing makes me feel better like a nice hot cup of tea. I only drink coffee when I am at work (and it is always extra hot, extra strong latté) but all other times it is tea for me. I love my tea and probably drink too much of it. My favourites are Twinings mango fruit tea without milk and Ceylon tea with a dash of milk. I sometimes go months without drinking coffee, but I would not manage more than day without tea!

  1. I’m a great tea drinker, too. Used to drink lots of coffee but accidentally worked out that I felt better on days when I only had 4 large lattes instead of 5… and gradually it went away completely except for a very occasional treat. Tea, on the other hand: my brain seems to be fuelled by it and I almost cannot function before my first cup of the day.

  2. I drink my tea with lemon, and specifically ask for it when out. More times than not my tea is delivered without the lemon. When I remind the waiter the response is usually. “Oh, you want lemon?”.
The thing that bothers me most is in restaurants and diners that offer free coffee refills but only give you hot water to re-soak your tea ball in.
And then there are the times when the free coffee refill is poured into my tea cup. Oy vey!
But the peace and tranquility a cuppa gives is worth the battle.

  3. I wouldn’t live without tea either! I drink litres a day and only Kusmi, Mariage Frères or Yorkshire if I don’t have the two others.

Coffee used to be my drug until my heart sent me warnings. So now it is only one espresso after lunch and one around 10.30 a.m. when I have a break at work.

    1. I never used to drink coffee at all until I moved to Sweden, and even then it took me years, because they like their coffee STRONG! Once I figured latte was the way to go, I now have one when I get to work, and sometimes one at 11am or so. After that it is tea, and at home it is always tea. There is nothing like sitting down with a nice cuppa and letting the world go on without you for ten minutes or so.
