I am not generally fond of blonde men, muscle-bound men or beards, but I think Lasse Matberg is gorgeous. Maybe it is because he reminds me of a Viking and exudes ruddy, robust health and fitness. He is hale and hearty, wholesome. And I never thought I would say this but that beard is perfection.
Lasse is 6ft 6in (2 metres) tall, and is a Lieutenant in the Royal Norwegian Navy.

For a long time now I have loved looking at Lasse’s Instagram photographs because he is always so healthy and outdoorsy and happy, and the Scandinavian scenery is so special. You just look at the photos and feel the fresh air. You can imagine him chopping the wood to build his own house, and then baking apple pie with a baby strapped to his chest.
My men are usually black haired, olive skinned, light eyed, tall, slender bad boy neurotics, full of angst. They have never met a feeling or a family or a sinkful of dirty dishes they couldn’t run away from.
Because I come from a hot sunny country with blue skies, sandy white powder beaches, palm trees and some of the best surfing in the world, I often do not appreciate the special stark and often barren beauty of the Nordic countries. When I see these photographs I really do. The light is so special so far up north.
