It’s hard, Janet. You will miss Paddy, even though time softens the hurt. I could see my beloved Kiki, our sweet Keeshond, for years after we let her go, sitting under her favorite chair or lying on her favorite rug. Talk about phantom pain! I used to cry when I had these little “visions”…now they make me smile. I still miss her, but I consider that it’s because I loved her so dearly; she worked her way into everyone’s heart. If I didn’t love her, I would feel nothing–and that would make me far sadder.
