Yep, it’s my birthday! And on this, my birthday I want to thank you, all my readers. For reading my blog, for the feedback and interaction, for all the comments, the emails, the cards, gifts and support through the years. You make every single day my birthday!
I have had a brilliant day! My friend Marie took me to the roof bar at the Scandic Continental for drinks.
Here she is wearing gorgeous Efva Attling petal jewellery. And she gave me a gold Edblad bangle which I absolutely adore! I wanted to take a photo of her looking at the water but it took so long she and the guy just out of frame started laughing about me trying to get the button to click!
Then I went for coffee with Håkan, who had brought me a mini hamper of beauty products all the way from Thailand.
Then I went out for a lovely dinner with my Swedish family – my stepdaughter Amanda, her partner Sam, and her mom Tina, whose birthday is the day before mine, and Tina’s friend Sandra who I have known for several years. Tina and I have known each other for about twenty years and have grown old together so it was lovely to celebrate together. She is my best friend in Sweden and I love her to absolute bits. We went to an Ethiopian restaurant and it was delicious!
On the way home we passed this beautiful mural of Greta Garbo, who lived in the area. What a pity about the graffiti on it.

It is actually today that is my birthday but I celebrated yesterday because my bestie and I celebrated both our birthdays yesterday (her birthday was yesterday)
