Well, my love of antique diaries and rare ring organisers meant that this one from eBay just had to fall into my basket. It had been listed before and I had managed to resist but this time I just had to pounce!
It may take some elbow grease to get the brass gleaming again but it is just too beautiful!
Hi Janet. Hope you are well and I also hope you might be able to help me. I have also found a rare copy of this same filofax but unfortunately it does not have the inserts. I would really love to get a copy of the inserts to help restore this to its original glory. If you would be able to scan a copy and email them to me it would be absolutely amazing. I look forward to hearing from you regards wendy wilks
Hello there Wendy! I have not figured out how to remove the pages from the rings but I will try my best to get a scan for you when next I get to my storage facility. I would also be happy to send you a few pages. Would also love to see your one!
Hi Janet, the rings appear to have a break in them on the photos but I do not have the rings to check closely.
It would be great to get together sometime to compare the two.
Theres a company stamp on the inside cover of mine and noticed yours doesn’t have this.
I look forward to hearing from you regards wendy
My favorite of your extensive collection. I can imagine my grandmother using this as a young woman. It puts me back in time.
I cannot wait to collect it from the Post Office, where it will have to wait for me until TUESDAY because it is a long weekend this weekend 🙁
This is amazing. I’ve never seen anything like this before, it’s incredibly pretty.
Brilliant find, Janet. When are you opening your planner museum?
How amazing! I’ve seen modern home-made metal binders but never guessed anything like that was ever made. The cover is superb. I’m glad you have it Janet, it will have a very good home with you.
What a great find…..definitely seems like it should be in your collection…..
Like the ‘steampunk meets art deco’ description…..
Enjoy this unique binder…..
