Fluffy and Ziggy continue to be the best of friends.

I have never had two cats just fall in love at first sight before. There is normally a period of dust-ups, hissing, growling, keeping distance and sulking.

With these two – nothing. I placed the catbox with Ziggy in it down in the hallway and opened the door. Fluffy came to see what was happening, they touched noses and that was it. Bliss!

I was so happy that they had each other this week as I was very busy. I did not have to worry about Fluffy grieving and alone.

Myself I had a huge cry today when I took the linen off Paddy’s favourite bed to wash and saw his fur on it. I am not sure I will be able to wash it just yet. Is that silly?

  1. Beautiful babies!!! And no your not silly at all. Two of my darling babies, two brothers died within two weeks of each other and whenever i see a little fluff ball of ginger fur I like to hold on to it for a little bit <3

  2. No, not silly at all.
    I so get you.
My Hamlet (my 16 year old dachshund) passed away half a year ago and just a couple of days ago, I discovered his ‘nose art’ (smeared his little nose everywhere because he couldn’t see that well in the end anymore) on the side of my fridge. I can’t bring myself to clean that off, not just yet. Plus needless to say that triggered tears again…
Theyll have their special spots in our hearts forever <3

    1. Thank you Elke – his fur on his favourite blanket hit me like a wall and there I was crying my eyes out again. I can’t just wash him away.

  3. There’s nothing silly about it, Janet. When I held my beloved Kiki (beautiful Keeshond) for the last time and let her go, I saw her everywhere in the house where she would normally settle. This went on for some time and, some ten years later despite vacuuming and cleaning, her gorgeous thick fur was still to be found all over. It’s been more than fifteen years, and I still miss her. She was family. It doesn’t hurt the way it used to, but I do miss her. It’s that simple, and that complicated. What it is NOT is silly. Take good care.
