Special Edition Union Jack Original Filofax in personal size

The one I featured earlier this week was one I bought from Filofax UK for a client of mine who does not shop on the internet (I wish I had that problem!) and this one from Appelboom is mine. It arrived yesterday from the Netherlands. Joost Appelboom took pre-orders for this one and shipping is reasonable compared to the £40 for shipping Filofax charges to the USA for example.

The binder is pretty much the same as the one from the UK but what really put a smile on my face was the packaging from Appelboom. Isn’t it festive? Thank you Joost!

  1. Merry Christmas! My boyfriend and I exchanged our Christmas presents last night. Guess what! He gave me this Union Jack personal filo! He said “it would not be Christmas without a Filofax!”.

  2. http://www.colemans.co.uk is currently offering the personal size and A5 size at 30% off, and shipping to the U.S. is equivalent to ~ $30 USD. I ordered one today (personal size) which cost ~ $70 USD. It is still listed for
~ $120 USD on the Filofax web site.

  3. Is it really a limited edition? Your lovely pics made me want to purchase one so l went to a shop that sell all brands of binders in Paris and they had about a hundred of them and they were not aware it was a limited edition. Anyway l bought one and now l’m setting it up for college purpose. It’s great fun to go from my usual A6 (MB) to a personal.
    Thanks for sharing!

    1. It is advertised as a special edition and I would guess it is a one season thing. But not limited like the last Union Jack edition where there were only 250 made, I guess. It’s a nice binder!

      1. Yes l asked the Filofax shop in Paris and the lady kindly explained to me that it is a special edition but not a limited edition.
According to her the difference between those two terms is that ‘limited’ means made in a quite small number (100 to 250) whereas ‘special’ means that it is made for a certain period of time (usually 6 months) in great quantity but won’t be made again after this period of time.
