RED was suggested for me by Netflix a few days ago. I had seen it appear on the Netflix lists before but I thought it was something like The Hunt for Red October or Reds so I had ignored it.
Something made me click on it a few days ago and I enjoyed it so much I watched the sequel, RED 2. It is a lighthearted, easy comedy but the cast is just brilliant and that elevates it into a really enjoyable movie. John Malkovich and Helen Mirren are brilliant. The cast also has Morgan Freeman, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Bruce Willis, Richard Dreyfuss, Ernest Borgnine, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julian McMahon.
Helen Mirren has one of the best lines for a woman in an movie ever in Red 2: ‘Well, you’ve heard of me now.’

They’re both great – love Helen Mirren in this and John Malkovich is superb!
