These photos were taken over two days but this is my VDS custom undyed at work for me this week. You can see the nice shine it has nowadays. I never treat my leathers so this beautiful patina comes from being used and handled every day. I imagine the colour will darken quite fast now as spring is about to arrive and hopefully there will be plenty of sun about.
The pen case is noticeably lighter and more matte because, even though I carry it with me in my handbag every day, it has not been handled nearly as much as I generally use the pen in my pen loop.

The leather in the last photo looks much paler (to my eyes…) than in the photos above it that seem to have a very nice amber like color to the leather.
Which photos would you say are the most accurate representation of the color now; the last photo or the two above it?
Or should I just go to the eye doctor?…… 😉

Janet….Your Binder is absolutely beautiful! I very much enjoy reading your blog! Is your binder a Van Der Spek & what size rings are in the binder?
It is a Van Der Spek custom undyed binder and the rings are 30mm, so nice and big!
Janet I am loving the way it is coming along!! Is the undyed leather stiff? It looks like it is. I would really like to have something in the undyed leather but, just can’t justify it right now.
It is firm but flexible. I have Bontex in it which is a happy medium between stiffener and no stiffener.
It keeps looking better and better with age 🙂 if i only had the money for a VdS…
