What’s in my bag today – Mulberry Romilly

IMG_6085

This is a very busy week for me, with some days starting at 7am and ending at 9pm. It is also very icy and snowy outside so, where I usually lighten the load on a heavy day by putting things into two bags, I cannot do that at the moment as I have to have one hand free to hold onto the railing down my steps or to break my fall if I slip. I have 126 steps to the bus stop and 68 of them are sheer ice. Hence the Romilly which is big but weighty.

  1. Sounds like my bag. My partner says I take everything but the kitchen sink, but it is all stuff I need. I have much the same as you but only my iPhone andiPad,mutually. My iPod classic stays at home, unless we go away in our motorhome/RV. I always have at least one book to read, as I have an absolute horror of being booklets. I also have books on Kindle software on the iPad. This bag and your Liebeskind Beau have reduced me to “bag envy”. I too love everything in brown leather, never my motorcycle leathers are brown. BTW I am new to your blog, but I love it.

  2. Just wondering why you carry an iPhone, iPod & an iPad. I’m sure you have a very good reason, although it seems redundant to me.

    1. I get tired of the songs on my iPhone so every now and then I carry my old iPod and listen to the music on it instead. I cannot sync all the music onto the one device sadly as the iPod is too old. The iPad has a Logitech keyboard on it so I don’t have to carry my laptop with me. It allows me to write long emails and edit documents while I am in the field all day without having my 17 inch Macbook with me as it is too heavy with everything else I carry. And the phone I need for making and receiving calls 🙂

  3. …………I am happy to read that you like the looks of it. By the way, also take a look at the matching ink for the fountain pen: ‘Brilliant Brown’ ! 🙂 ………….

  4. Oh my goodness, what a lot to carry. This must sure be heavy. The big bag looks real good, I like these kind of bags (maybe a little smaller!!!). And of course the nice planner…….! I think I read once that your favorite color in bags and binders is brown…… May I mention that there will be a new fountain pen and ballpoint is being released in February by Pelikan which would match perfectly………….have a look at the Classic 200 Cafe Creme. I could imagine you could love the classic design and the colors.

    1. Yes indeed my favorite colour is brown – even my boots, belts and jackets are brown. I also love gold jewellery and hardware on all my bags and planners – so when I went to look at that pen I almost fainted with delight. It is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
