I wanted to say a big thank you to all my readers for a wonderful 2014. I love writing my blog – it is relaxing and pampering and I can leave the real world behind for a little while as I write about my passions – bags, organizers, animals, beauty products, fashion, stationery…. it is a constant surprise and an honor that people read me, that I have followers.
I don’t make any money on my blog and I am not sponsored in any way. I like it like that because I am free to write about what I want, when I want without having to think about advertisers or sponsored content. It is purely a hobby.
My most popular posts are those about dogs – the Tibetan Mastiff and then the Boerboel. After that comes the International Phonetic Alphabet and more dogs.

I average just under 2 000 views a day with my best day bringing in about 6 000 views. In a month’s time I will be hitting 1 million views. As of today I have 557 followers. So I have a lot to thank all my wonderful readers for. Every time I receive a comment (of which I have received 5 202) I smile and it makes me happy. That is a lot of smiles and happiness from you to me!
As we are heading into 2015 I would like to ask you what kind of posts you would like to see more of. Any new topics? Any further development of old topics? Any questions you would like to ask me? Any photographs you would like to see?

As you know I am fairly new to your blog, and with all the variety of subjects you manage to write about I know there are comments I have made which you have already blogged about, so please forgive me. I shall now look at your things to do in Stockholm. Is there a “best” time to visit, weatherwise?

It depends on your personal preferences, weatherwise. Midwinter (21 hours a day of total darkness, snow, ice, and temperatures of down to -30°C) and midsummer (daylight 24/7 and temperatures of up to 35°C for weeks on end) can be spectacular but a bit of a shock to the system. I love spring and autumn as they are really pretty but the temperature and daylight hours are more ‘normal’. The boats can still get to the archipelago and it is easy to walk around sightseeing without suffering from frostbite or heatstroke! Stockholm is a beautiful city built on 14 islands so it is worth a visit. I will be your guide if you visit!
Although I have mailed you before, my personal interests would be Swedish cooking and tourist venues, and the best times to visit Sweden, weather wise. I’m always on the lookout for somewhere new to visit, but not too far away, but sunshine is essential. Otherwise, Janet, the diversity of your blog is what keeps it interesting. We never know what you might write about from one day to the next. So, “Carry On Blogging”!
Thanks Steve – yes that one is on my to do list for this year. I have had ‘things to do in Stockholm’ on my to do list for more than a year now! Strangely enough, my teaching always has comments on it that the variation is what makes it good. Being like a butterfly flitting from one subject to another must have its upsides!
