The Van Der Spek eagle has landed!

Petra let me know that my parcel left on Monday. And 48 hours later it was here! That is very fast service and I was very lucky to be here when the parcel came. I work in a high security environment and I am in up to eight places a day so I cannot have parcels delivered anywhere except at home. The courier parcel delivery  happens while I am at work so parcels then go back to the depot overnight and the next day they appear at the Post Office.

Today I had an early cancellation so was still at home when the courier came. I would otherwise not have been able to take delivery. I used to be able to sign an authorization and ask for the parcel to be left outside my door but nowadays I have to sign on one of those gadgets and they cannot leave the parcel without the signature. I actually had to leave for work five minutes after it came so that was good timing!

Wow what a lovely time unpacking. I ordered the custom ones when I was at Van Der Spek and watched the leather being cut. The Touch Mes I ordered the day they came back into stock. I asked for pebbly ones and bigger rings.

Well packed with lots of paper to stop the boxes rattling around. It is so meaningful in a way to know that Mrs Van Der Spek packs everything so perfectly and so carefully. This is no Amazon!

When I get parcels I usually give the cats the paper to play with until I can recycle it. They are inside cats so need to be constantly stimulated with play.

Open. They come with cardboard ring protectors and VDS sample credit cards in the pockets. Both A5s have gold 35mm rings. These are now sold out. I managed to snaffle some of the last ones when we were at Van Der Spek. The A5 Janet Leather (#104) has a gold popper as well.
