This has been an interesting new addition to my daily routine. I always use shower gels and I am rather fussy about them. I don’t like using very expensive ones as they wash right off and I apply body lotion afterwards which means the ones where you pay for the perfume are rather wasted on me. I don’t like them to have too much lather (too drying) or too little (not cleansing enough). I also don’t like the strong ‘fake’ smell of the run of the mill Palmolive/Dove/Lux/Nivea ones you find at the supermarket. I usually use Body Shop Shower Gels or any local brand that has no perfume at all.
I was in a hurry the other day and had to grab the nearest thing off the shelf at the local shop. This is what landed in my basket. It is a Nivea Shower Cream with the same smell as the original Nivea Creme in the Blue tin. It brought back so many memories and is a very nostalgic scent as I grew up with blue Nivea! It has just the right amount of lather and the smell is subtle.
