We take Maya for walks in a local woodland area. There, it’s worse than pavements and parks because it’s “just a forest” and people rarely clean up after their dogs. Because of the nature of the terrain, it’s always more difficult to see.
We taught Maya only to “go” at home and she does, except for the very odd occasion when she’s taken short, but even so, poo bags are always carried just in case.
It’s the irresponsible owners that get the rest of us a bad name :>(
I think so many of us have suffered in this way, and it is so dangerous when you have children growing up. I solved the problem with habitual foulers by taking the offending mess and leaving it on the dog’s owners doorstep. They were obviously aware of where their animal had fouled and subsequently changed their route!

I have never had a problem in my garden but I hate it when people don’t remove dog mess on the streets in parks. I ALWAYS manage to step in it!
