The Van Der Speks kindly allowed me to look at their room of treasures – older binders no longer sold. I spotted this one from across the room and almost swooned at the beautiful navy blue colour. There are so few navy blue binders out there these days and it is such a lovely colour. Like deep green, it is a forgotten base colour. AND this baby had all gold hardware, including 35mm gold rings. I oohed and aaahed over it and found out that it was an older Van Der Spek brand called Second Thousand. I was kindly allowed to photograph the other binders in the series. There are no Standard (personal) sizes left but there are other sizes.
As we were leaving for a wonderful dinner with the family, Steve and I were both given one of these. I absolutely love it!

Yes it is but only in that brand of binder. They have several sizes of it.
