Nails on a Blackboard

I wondering the other day if, due to the use of whiteboards these days, younger people will not understand things like the advertising campaign above and cartoon below.

Anyone who has every heard it can imagine the sound of nails on a blackboard. I am sure there are very few people whose teeth are not set on edge by it. Kind of like accidentally biting on tinfoil while you are eating something (or maybe that one is just me!)

  1. Cringed at the blackboard picture! And no, disliking an unexpected bite down on foil (why would anyone on purpose?) is not just you. 😉

  2. We used to hide all the chalk and the teacher would spend the first 15 min trying to scold us and then getting them from the store room. The world has definitely changed a lot. 🙂
