The A5 Grey Malden which I am using for my teaching binder is an indispensable tool which aids me during my instructional day. It enables me to have everything I need for managing my classroom within easy reach since my A5 Grey Malden is always with me. My teaching binder is named Dr. Bryant and you get a star for the day if you understand the reference.
My fifth blog post is dedicated to the resources that I have created for Dr. Bryant. The first resource that I would like to share with you is my weekly instructional outline. It gives me quick access to what lessons I am teaching on what days. Since I have six instructional periods each day, I rely heavily upon this resource. I create a new instructional outline each Friday for the following week and keep these within my teaching binder through the end of each term.
The next resource I have created is an instructional schedule for the first bi-term of the spring semester. It serves as a brief and concise overview of the classes I am teaching in a standard grid format.
The spring semester is divided into the following three instructional sessions: First Bi-term, Second Bi-Term, and Summer Term. In my teaching binder I keep a list for each instructional session showing when college is in session and when instruction is dismissed.
To manage my student’s attendance, I have created resources for each of the three instructional cycles in the semester. This allows me quick access to days of attendance and absence.
Finally, I have created a form which enables me to track the educational process of my learner. It tells me about their pre-testing, hours of attendance, post-testing, and type of improvement made.
This empowers me to give special attention to learners in the next instructional cycle who are not progressing at a desired pace.
