I love Netflix – received it as a Christmas present and as I was on holiday, I spent most of the long dark cold Swedish January cuddled up in bed with my cats watching movies. It was absolute bliss.
About Morgan Freeman – I love him. He is just wonderful. Driving Miss Daisy! Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves! 10 Items or Less! Shawshank Redemption! Bucket List! Invictus! Million Dollar Baby! Se7en! Hard Rain! Kiss the Girls! Along Came a Spider! Under Suspicion! I will watch the worst movie just to see him in it. He has such a calm, soothing, authoritative voice and such a kind face. Every word out of his mouth (no matter what it is) sounds wise and trustworthy. He also tends to star in movies where he and another big star form a twosome and that just makes it all the better.
I can remember going to see Shawshank Redemption. I was tired, I had a headache, I was very hungry and I was dying to pee. The opening scenes were so slow and so bleak I thought ‘how on earth am I going to manage to sit through this?’. What seemed like minutes later the movie was over and I just wanted it to go on and on. I had totally forgotten about my bladder and my empty tummy. Now THAT to me is the sign of a good movie.
If you like Morgan Freeman I can recommend Gone Baby Gone and an Unfinished Life, which are both on Swedish Netflix. He is brilliant in both of them as he always is, but they are also both lovely movies.
