I have a student called Eva who has turned into a good friend. I have been teaching her for many years. She is the kind of person who will bring books to an intensive course for the students to take home, who invites you to parties and is always thoughtful and kind.
About four years ago Eva gave me two of my favourite books – an old picture dictionary and a Swedish -English book of idioms. I give thanks to her (and her dad Bertil) every time I have to look something up.

It was the most amazing picture dictionary – which had been out of print for a while (I know because I have been hunting for one) And Eva had found me one! I am so happy I could burst!
This is the perfect book to have if you need to talk descriptively about something – especially for work where you may have to describe different types of roads or plants and animals.
