Tigerklo planner and notebook covers

If you like good quality leather covers for your planner and notebooks I would recommend a look at Tigerklo. Tigerklo is a Swedish brand named after its founder, Fredrik Tigerklo. The leather is tanned at the renowned Tärnsjö tannery in Sweden, which also processes the famous oxidizing leather for Louis Vuitton. Each item is handmade from start to finish and can be personalised.

I have this limited edition wrap notebook cover for my drawing book. It is made of the same leather as Louis Vuitton so it starts out pale and darkens to gorgeous caramel and then dark brown with exposure to the elements. It fits all A5 books and can expand or contract according to how thick the book is. There is more than enough leather to be wrapped around a big fat book. The strap looks fiddly but isn’t. Just wrap it around your book and away you go!

New for this season are these covers which are available in black, oxblood (exclusive to NK) and tan. If I had to choose I would say the oxblood is the most beautiful with the tan a close second. Not cheap but once again, an investment buy which will grow more beautiful as it ages. Rather buy one of these than ten cheapies. Sweden does manufacture and design really well so if you invest in one of these you will have a small masterpiece in your care.

The picture above shows the virgin leather and the ones below show how it looks when it starts to get a ‘tan’ from being exposed to light.

  1. I’ve probably visited this page a gazillion times just to admire this beautiful notebook cover. I love it so much! How much did it cost, if you don’t mind me asking? I want to inquire and send them an email to make a custom order for something similar but I already feel it’s going to be way beyond my budget. Still. What a gorgeous cover.
