Pink A5 Classic Filofax

At a Filofax mini-meet recently, both Christa from Organized Heaven and Paula from Roses in December had Filofax Classics in Pink – Paula with a Personal and Christa with an A5. I looked and and felt both of them and they were too wonderful for words – hard yet smooth, puffy yet sturdy – and the most beautiful color! I felt sad to see them go as we parted company at Oxford Circus. The only other Classic I had ever bonded with was an A5 Camel one, when they were still named the Cross, rather than the Classic. It was half price but I hesitated and then it was gone.

So, after the meet I put a pink Classic down on my wish-list and idly browsed for one – to my surprise they were not easy to find in store and there were not very many online for a good price either. Sweden did not have them online and in-store they were textured like the Finchley and in a colour more like the Malden Vintage Pink.

I happened to mention this in the Philofaxy Facebook Group and I received two tips – one from Christine about two on the German eBay, and one from Helen from Plan Create Succeed who found three in a Paperchase – 2 Personal and 1 A5.  Yay! I didn’t have to think twice and she bought it and posted it off on Friday afternoon. Well, Monday morning bright and early it was delivered to my door and here is the unveiling:

This one is going to be used as a journal. Thank you Philofaxy Facebook community! Special thanks to Helen who checked the rings and the spine (for peeling potential), went the extra mile to see it was properly packaged! Will keep you posted as it develops. I have Pink Pilot Iroshizuku ink which will be perfect for this baby.
